During an emotional interview at his Statehouse office with The Associated Press on Tuesday, Sanford said Chapur is his soul mate but he’s trying to fall back in love with his wife.
Sanford also admitted to crossing the line with a “handful” of women who were not Maria Belen Chapur (or his wife), but never crossed the “ultimate line” (black women?). He went on to call his affair with Chapur a “forbidden” and “tragic” love story. Dude. Seriously. STFU.
